  1. What was your most recent 5 star read?

I actually read my most recent 5 star read last weekend, it was The Eighth Life by Nino Haratischwili. I absolutely loved it, it was a multigenerational family story about a family from Georgia in the 1900s that was very well-written, and it had a memorable cast of characters. The plot kept me interested in the novel the entire time.

2. What is your most anticipated release for 2021?

I don’t have many anticipated releases for 2021 (I checked my TBR and I only have two…), but I do want to read One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston because it sounds cute and funny.

3. Do you listen to music while you read? If so, does it have lyrics?

I don’t. I can’t concentrate on reading when there’s music playing.

4. Do you have any pets? If so please add pictures because we all need some cuteness in our lives.

I have a dog, he’s a Maltipoo (Maltese and poodle mix). This is a picture of him that I used on my Instagram for the blog, and he was not thrilled to be in the picture.

5. What is the one book that you will never get bored of?

I’ve read Jane Eyre a few times, and it’s always been very entertaining and enjoyable. I think I’ll probably never get bored of it.

6. Favorite book of all time (I know, I’m evil)?

I’m torn between Fahrenheit 451 and The Bell Jar because I loved both of them, and I honestly can’t decide.

7. Favorite place to read?

Honestly, I don’t really have a favorite place to read. I’ll pretty much read wherever, whenever.

8. Favorite blog post that you have ever written (add a link as well so I can read it)?

Either The Shadow King Review or Lost Children Archive Review. I really like how both of them turned out, and it’s hard to pick between the two.

9. What is the prettiest book cover that you own?

I really like the cover of The Bell Jar that’s on the picture with my dog. I also really love the covers of Lovely War, which is probably my favorite.

10. What is the biggest book on your TBR?

The biggest book on my TBR is Postwar: A History of Europe Since 1945 by Tony Judt. It covers the history of Europe from 1945 to about 2005, and it’s 933 pages. I’m looking forward to reading it when I get the chance!

11. Why did you start blogging and why did you continue?

I started blogging during quarantine, essentially because I had an unprecedented amount of free time on my hands, so I thought that this could be a fun way to pass the time. I continued because I really enjoy it, and I think that it’s an enjoyable way to talk about the books I read, and because I have a lot of fun writing and reading blog posts.
